Hey Cecelia, thats a great photo of you and your mum, love the white flowers you have used and great to see you have added the distressing technigue to your page. Well done - Shazza

Come meet our guest Designer for the Month....

Cecelia Blanco

Hello my name is Cecelia and I am from sunny Southern California. I have been married to my husband for 7 years and a mother to three beautiful children. I have a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and have recently went back to work after 4 years of staying home. I have been scrapbooking and cardmaking for about three years now and absolutely LOVE it! A friend of mine introduced me and I have been addicted ever since. I started my blog www.ceceliablanco.blogspot.com back in November to share what I enjoy and love with others' who share the same passion. In February I was a guest DT over at AI factory and I am super excited about my guest DT spot with From Screen to Scrap! Thank you for this great opportunity to meet all of you and see your amazing work!

Here are a few of Cecelia's layouts, that she wanted to share with us..........

Who have we got next.........

Marisa Page - Mum

Hi Shazza,
This is my layout for the poster 'Fried Green Tomatoes'.
I found this poster a challenge to work with.
The most important woman in my like is my mum,
so I scrapped an early photo of her. I am going to frame
this layout and give it to her for Mother's day.
I used red and green has my main colours.
But for the other criteria well it just didn't work
with this layout. Looking forward to seeing
everyone else's creations.
Regards,
Marisa

Ooh Marisa! This has turned out just beautiful, what a great idea to give it framed to your mum on Mothers Day. Have you used your signature! handmade flowers on this layout, cause I love em!! It's stunning, your mum is going to love it - Cheers Shazza

The next DT sub is from.........

Michelle Beeby - I Haz Cheezeburger

Hey Shazza, loved this challenge, I had fun learning how to extract some veggy's and some other techniques I used in this layout, thanks once again for a wonderful challange! xx Chelle

This has come out a treat Chelle, look at the size of that burger would you!!!! It's huge!!! Great page, and love your title - Cheers Shazza

Look who's next......

Tracy - 2 Rings

Hi Shazza
Here is my layout about an important person - My grandmother - whilst she isn't in the photos the story behind the photos is of my Aunty giving Mum (her twin sister) a ring on their 60th birthday. She had Grandma's rings melted down and two rings made, one for each of them. It was a real touching and emotional event.
I have included a green title (chipboard covered in Diamond Dust OMG I LOVE this stuff!), green was the feature colour but sorry no tomato and not much red happening.
Tracy :)

Hey Tracy! what a great event to scrap and keep. This layout has turned out just beautiful, love all the little photos you incorporated into the layout. Love the pp you used and all your little bits ans pieces, I bet your pleased with it! - Shazza

Another gorgeous submission to share from ...........

Natalie Elphinstone - Me

Dear Shazza,
The 'important woman in your life' that I decided to scrap about was myself! As the person behind the camera and doing all the scrapping I think we too often forget to take photos and scrap about ourselves. But because I want my scrapbooks to be memories for our family in years to come I thought it was important to document some things that are going on in my life right now. I've included lots of raw and honest journalling as the focus for my layout. But I've kept to the red and green colour scheme including a green title, and I've used the row of tomatoes to inspire my row of circle embellishments above my photo. xx Natalie

What a great page 'About You' Natalie, all things that you have accomplished with your love of scrapbooking. Love how you have set this all out, and highlighted the titles of the paragraphs. This is great, excellent work - shazza

Who's going to be next.........

Anne Patterson - My Mother Can Cook

Hi Sharon,

Well my tomato finally arrived today so I was able to do up my Fried Green Tomatoes Sample:

As far as criteria go, I have scrapped about my mother and her cooking as she is about as passionate about that as I am about scrapbooking.

I have used green as a part of my title, I have Green and Red as the ‘feature’ colours on my page, and I have a tomato (the charm attached to one of the buttons). This is what I was waiting to arrive.

Regards, Anne P.

Beautiful page Anne, love all the different fonts in the title that you have used, great pic of your mum cooking up a storm, love your little tomatoe charm lol. your page has come up beautiful.... love it!! - Shazza

Our next submission is from Amanda...

Amanda Taylor - My Nanna

hey shazza here is my 'fried green tomatoes' LO, its of my nanna, the most inspirational woman ever to come into my life. journalling is about what kind of woman she was and that i always wanted to be like her, and she died at 62 before i was ready to see her go when i was 18 just as i was becoming an adult, she wasnt around when i needed her most but im lucky to have had her in my life.................ive also got a green title, red and green feature colours and tomatoes on my page(under the family banner down bottom).............loved this shazza, hope you like it

Amanda you have done such a great job, Your nanna would so love this page about her :) You've done an excellent job covering all the criteria.......its turned out fab and love that family banner, Great job - Shazza

Heres our First submission from......

I used a mixture of papers on this; Sassafrass lass, little yellow bycicle and Kelly Pannachi. The tomato is on the top right hand side cluster. My older(and only) sister has always been special to me.When we were growing up she had a fantastic sense of style that I tried to emulate.I also was able to borrow her clothes at times. We are still best friends. from Julene Matthews.

Jennifer Campbell - Little Miss Fashionista

Hi Shazza,
I created the attached layout for your Little Miss... challenge this month
My layout is called "Little Miss Fashionista".
This is a layout of my daughter's Hat parade at school.
She had a blast modeling her outfit in front of the school.
Yes she is 3 and a fashionista!!!
I utilized the title "Little Miss" and the color yellow.
A car, truck, etc. did not fit into the layout. Sorry.
I did have a blast with this challenge though.
I hope you enjoy!
- Jennifer

Wow Jennifer, I cant believe your daughter is only '3', I bet she had a great time (maybe a modelling career hey !!). Your layout has a real spring feel to it, with the colors you chose, love how you sectioned it. The title looks great with the mixed letters!! Great work - Shazza

Hi Shazza,
This is my first challenge for From Screen 2 Scrap. I really enjoyed this challenge. This is a LO of my son Luke aged 2..... he is now 16, called Little Mister Curious. He was always inquisitive as a child and still is as a teen. Always wants to pull things apart to see how they work. I covered all the criteria - used a fair bit of yellow, my title is Little Mister Curious, and there is a little car on my embellie cluster. Thanks for the inspiration. - Cathy Cafun

Heres anothery from a newbie!!

Judith Armstrong - Little Miss Obsession

Hi Shazza,
Attached is my first ever entry for "From Screen 2 Scrap". I loved the inspirational movie poster and thought is was ideal for showcasing DD's obsession with Little Miss things, especially t shirts. Last year she wore one every day she didn't have to wear her school uniform.
I have included yellow in my title - outlined Miss
Used "Little Miss' in my title
Included a combi van.
Thanks for the inspiration - Judith Armstrong

Hi Judith, what a fantastic first entry :) You have done an excellent job with this challenge, I love your title and the showcase of all the 'Little Miss' T shirts along the top is a fabulous idea. Great take!! - Shazza
