Next up is.......

Tracy - Merry Christmas Everyone

This photo is of the last Christmas we spent in NZ , hence the house theme. Lots of chipboard from Scrapware used, bling chain and the christmas embellishments being my2angels charms.
The title is Merry Christmas Everyone by Slade (which I sang the whole time I was doing this layout LOL but quietly of course in my head didn't want torture my household!)

Ooh Tracy, this is divine. I just love Santa's sleigh on the roof and the christmas house theme was a great idea. Your embelishments are beautiful, everything just fits in together so well.....and the charms ofcourse!! ................you are Queen of the charms!! lol Fantastic - Shazza

Look at this Fab submission, from...

Michelle Beeby - Santa Clause is Coming to Town.

Here is my Dec one, hope it's got enough BLING on it, this one I struggled with (I know, I know I say that every month!! LOL) ((HUGS))

Hey Chelle, you may have struggled with it, but the end result is fantastic, love that sleigh pic and your gorgeous Chrismassy embellishments. This layout is Fab, I love it!! - Shazza

Next DT members submission is .........

Amanda Taylor - All i want ....

Amanda said.....found this hard, I either didnt have the right pic, or pp, and if I did I didnt have a song to go with it. Til I found these pics of Connor lol, I took inspiration from the poster in the very blinged up thing and the colours................. got a song title for the title (a twist on all I want for christmas lol) 3 xmas embellies(bling star, xmas tree and holly), and loads of bling. hope you like this, I ended up enjoying this challenge.

LOL.... I'm glad you enjoyed the challenge, love those pics of connor, and your blingy embellishments really make this layout, your pp is divine :) - Shazza

Next DT submission is from.....

Marisa Page - Believe

I got my inspiration for all the different colours in this poster.
I titled my layout 'Believe', Christmas carol from the movie 'The Polar Express'.
I have used Christmas embellishments, I made my xmas trees and cut the presents out of patterned paper.
Added sequin stars to the trees as well as bling, and the chipboard baubles which I covered in glitter for bling.
Also added a row of rubon holly leaves at the bottom of the layout.
Had lots of fun creating this layout.
Regards,
Marisa Page

This is a beautiful. well put together layout, love all the bright colors and your Chrismassy embelishments are divine. the ribbon along the bottom just finishes the layout off perfectly. Fantastic work - Shazza

Our first 'Deck the Halls' submission from.........

Lisa Hanrahan - Joy to the World

Here is what Lisa had to say...
I really enjoyed doing this Christmas layout of my daughter Michala. I have wanted to scrap this photo for a while! I have included holly leaves, a Christmas dove and red stars as my Christmas embellishments. My title includes the carol "Joy To The World" and I have used lots of bling! Christmas is such a beautiful time of year! xxx

Love this interpretation Lisa, beautiful photo of Michala, the holly leaves are gorgeous, I love how this has come together. Well done! - Shazza

1. negative space

2. must have a cutout from a photo/photos

3. must use blue, pink and yellow somewhere on your layout

4. painted title

*Movie Diva Demand* For an extra bonus two points ....... paint your title red!! ( This is optional, you dont have to do this but it does give you the extra bonus points!)

Director of "Kill Bill 2" - Quentin Tarantino

In January of 1992, Reservoir Dogs (1992) appeared at the Sundance Film Festival, by first-time writer-director Quentin Tarantino. The film garnered critical acclaim and the director became a legend immediately. Two years later, he followed up Dogs success with Pulp Fiction (1994) which premiered at the Cannes film festival, winning the coveted Palme D'Or Award. At the 1995 Academy Awards, it was nominated for the best picture, best director and best original screenplay. Tarantino and writing partner Roger Avary came away with the award only for best original screenplay. In 1995, Tarantino directed one fourth of the anthology Four Rooms (1995) with friends and fellow auteurs Alexandre Rockwell, Robert Rodriguez and Allison Anders. The film opened on December 25th in the United States to very weak reviews. Tarantino's next film was From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), a vampire/crime story which he wrote and co-starred with George Clooney. The film did fairly well theatrically.

Take Four, Scene Eight........from....

Tanya Joseph - Friends

This is what Tanya had to say on her blog........this was a bit different from what i usually do....i started off with a piece of watercolor canvas.....i experimented with food coloring and rubbing alcohol....mixed together making my own alcohol ink....i think it came out fairly well....i also used a tim holtz mask and a mixed a little bleach in the alcohol ink solution.you can see the effect....pretty cool....i also stamped print scripted words and even doodled around the edges....i painted n the title...added a piece of ribbon...and handmade paper roses....the picture i chose is of abigail and ny niece, jenna....who are inseparable....ha ha ha..they were holding hands walking towards the beach, at dauphin island...this was a pretty easy assignment and it took me little time to complete....

Here is Sandra our Guest DT members submission.....

Sandra Wilkinson - New Baby

Fantastic Layout Sandra, Love your flower cluster, gorgeous cut out pic and pleated ribbon looks beautiful, I love it!! - Cheers Shazza

Our Guest DT member for November is......

Sandra Wilkinson

I’ve been scrapping for about 1.5 years and it didn’t take too long to become addicted. My family are my main scrapping subjects, and I have a DD who is 3.5 and a DS who is 5 – both of whom love ‘helping’ me scrap J. I love to try out new techniques and am still trying to find my true style, but I think my favourite layouts tend to be those that have a geometric basis and using clusters of embellies or sprays to add to the page. When I have time, I love making my own embellishments from acetate, felt, beading, stitching and stamping, and also love exploring what I can make ‘from scratch’ for an OTP, rather than just decorating an album – although I love doing that. I find myself making cards with the left-overs, and if there’s still some time, I’ll do some beading.

Here are some of Sandra's beautiful layouts to view...

First Kiss

Gummy Grin

Little Miss Sunshine

Dirty Work

How do you Feel today?

Sandra you have some lovely layouts here, some gorgeous work. my favourite is the last one of Joshua's 4 faces in one minute.... it brings back memories of my boys when they were bubs :)

Thanks for sharing with all of us at 'From Screen to Scrap'

Novembers Sponsor 'my2angels'

Our sponsor for November is 'my2angels'

Lucky last is our newest DT member.....

Michelle Beeby - Why so Serious

This is what Michelle said...I just hope it meets your criteria, I used all that you listed, there is blue there and pink as well.. and of course yellow.. lol
Anyway, negative space is not HIGH on my LO list, to be honest this is my second LO ever that I have used Negative Space.

Hey Michelle you have done well and covered all the criteria, and you have scored bonus points for painting your title red. Well done, I think its super!! - Shazza

Here is the next DT submission....

Marisa Page - You Love to Act Silly

Heres what Marisa had to say......
I really loved this months poster and got lots of inspiration from it.
Just couldn't resist scrapping this photo of my youngest daughter,
she is such a character at times. Well anyway I used a pale yellow cardstock
for my base, pink handmade flowers plus Heidi Grace flowers, and blue brackets.
Plus lots of negative space.
I hand painted the work 'love' in deep red paint. And of course the cut out photo.
Cant wait to see what you create!

Marisa, great job of the challange this month, love your cutout of your daughter, and the blue brackets you used. Heidi Grace flower are beautiful. I bet your pleased with your layout!
Cheers Shazza

Here is Amanda's submission for the challenge.

Amanda Taylor - He Goes

Amanda said.........Okies Shazza here is my LO for novembers challenge, loved this challenge, and like how it turned out, I took inspiration from the poster as in the lone person walking away and the painted handwritten title............ I've got neg space, blue, yellow and (a tiny bit of) pink lol, painted title and pic is cutout. thanks, hope you like this.

Great layout Amanda, Love the colors you have used and the pic of Connor pulling along his three wheeler. Love your handpainted title.... but unfortunately not red :( cant give you those extra bonus points... sorry!! - Shazza

Another submission this time from Tracy...

Tracy - Happy Birthday Princess

Tracy said.....I had fun making the cupcakes, struggled with having red & pink together on the same layout - I never mix those colours but that is why they are called challenges - thanks Shazza for pushing me to think outside the 12x12. My title which is chipboard from Buzz and Bloom has been painted red, photo of daughter has been cut out and all colours required have been used.

Tracy its turned out beautiful, you've done such a great job of the challenge, love your handmade cupcakes with sprinkles. You even incorporated the red painted title, so you have scored yourself the bonus points. Well done!! - Shazza

Here is Ali's DT submission......

Ali Coles - Coco

This is what Ali had to say.....I really struggled with this one! I originally wanted to use the poster as a sketch but couldn't quite get that right. So instead I went a completely different way.
There are 2 firsts for me on this page. First time I have ever done negative space, hope I have left enough. First time I have cut out of a photo! This month was definitely a challenge for me but isn't that the whole point to challenge ourselves now and again! I am quite pleased with the end result finally!
I have cut coco out of a picture and she is looking into the distance, a single character as there is in the poster.

Ali you have really stepped out of your comfort zone here, with your 1st neg space and also cutting out a photo.... and you have done a great job. Love the pic of Coco and your flowers. love how you have used that fancy frame cut out :) Fantastic!! - Shazza

Here is Shazza's submission.......

Shazza Bishop - Love You All

This is my neice Megan, stretching out her hands, the words(attached to wire) she is holding says.... 'I love you all this much'. I have covered all the criteria but I missed out on the bonus points for not painting the title red............ Thanks Shazza

Here is our first submission for the month from....

Lisa Hanrahan - What Do You See?

Here is what Lisa had to say... I always enjoy creating a layout with negative space. This photo is one of my favourites! It is of my daughter at a local park. I cut away the top of the photo to emphasize the top of the fence and gate. I have handcut flowers around the base of the photo to look like she is standing in a garden. I have included pink, yellow and blue patterned paper and used red paint when I stamped some of my title.

Love this Lisa! Great photo, love your flowers (cute owl), machine stitching, and you get the bonus points for painting your title red!! Well done - Shazza
